An all-time favourite, must have with a glass of cold milk!

- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla until creamy.
- In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into creamed mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
- Drop tablespoon fulls onto cookie sheet. Bake 10 - 12 minutes, until golden brown.

This dough freezes easily. Just roll into 2 inch diameter logs, wrap in wax paper, place into freezer bag or container. When ready to use, let thaw for 5 - 10 minutes, cut dough and bake.
